January 9 2004--The original Spa City of the United States is indubitably Hot Springs Arkansas. President Jefferson worked to set this land aside and protect it because of the remarkable properties of the hot water springs in this region.
Now there is a new illustrated book available of the area by Sharon Shugart, the official historian for the Hot Springs National Park.
